New York Film Critics Circle Partners with Movie Review Query Engine, Goes Digital

With movie critics looking to adapt to digital journalism, New York Film Critics Circle has partnered with a well known film review database- Movie Review Query Engine (MRQE or marquee) in an effort to re-launch their NYFCC website to attract movie goers looking for guidance on what movie to watch each weekend.

The new site will add and display members' movie reviews for new releases. Although the NYFCC is hugely influential via their yearend awards, this digital move might be a little late. Other movie review sites like Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic are already very popular amongst those looking for film reviews.

Some of the new features on the NYFFC site include a current twitter feed, more interactivity, social media integration and movie blog apart from the older functions like NYFCC members and awards information.
