Fright Night, the newly released 3D horror movie starring Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin, received positive reviews from critics. The movie which is a remake of the 1385 horror movie of the same name, received a 67/100 rating on Metacritic on the first. The movie tells the story of a teenager (Yelchin) who suspects that his neighbour (Farrell) is a vampire after a large number of disappearances in the neighbourhood. First day reviews praised Colin Farrell's acting and critics said "Farrell's portrayal of a funny yet scary vampire is one of the best vampire villain in ages. The bushy browed Farrell was born to wear fangs". The 3D effects in the movie have also been praised with the screen hurling blood, flying shards of glass and crucifixes towards the audience.

The US Department of Homeland Security is planning on carrying out reviews of 300,000 pending immigration cases. The reviews shall be done in a case-by-case manner. The reviews would help determine whether or not the particular case meets the specific criteria for the removal of the individual from the country.
The review policy, it is being alleged, shall shake up the US immigration system. Detractors claim that the reviews shall actually be a bypass of the congressional lawmakers, and are, thus, uncalled for.
One of the reasons for the reviews being done could be the tough policies set by Obama concerning immigrants, which, protests indicated, could cost the president a big chunk of Hispanic votes. Hence, the review method could be a way to appease that section of the American society.

Movie makers are taking advantage of the PG-13 ratings in movies. Many movie makers are crossing the official allowable limit of one nonsexual F-word per script. More and more films are being made with such trash talk and recent incidents include "Crazy Stupid Love", "Larry Crowne" and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" which were all rated PG-13 but sneaked in a lot of rated content.
According to Joan Graves, head of Motion Picture Association of America's Classification and Rating Administration, the filmmakers are definitely taking advantage of the movie ratings system. The movie ratings system curbs the number of F-words to be used in a PG-13 movie to one but the MPAA guidelines also add that if two thirds of the rating board feel that multiple F-words are used in legitimate context or in an inconspicuous manner then the movie would be given a PG-13 rating.
Graves further added that all the members of the rating board were parents and rate a movie based on what they think majority of American parents would rate it on.
